C is for COOL STUFF - namely ME and MY POSSE.

☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀
Welcome to Pearson Report.
I am participating in the 2015 A to Z Challenge.

Yes, I will be adhering to my THEME Calendar.

☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀

So, yesterday I touched upon Commenting.

Did I hit a nerve or what!

Okay people… let me just say I was feeling the love. Only you, (Charming Bloggers), could totally blow me away with such brilliant comments. (Really, you outdid yourselves, all for your love of me. I’m blushing - could be the wine)

I know you appreciated the easy time you had in leaving your comments.
(No Berlin Wall to rebuild. No Buckingham Palace guards to keep you out, well, maybe Al, he's got a thing for royalty.

See, I will do (just about) anything to keep my people happy.

OKAY… HERE WE GO…

Today I will be talking about Me and My Posse.

Meet the team…

In no particular order, well, girls first. In the boy department I’ll let the old guy feel special and introduce him first.

Jenny - aka Cool J   (That’s would be Queen Jenny to Al)

Al Penwasser - aka Mr. Bones   (Is that your funny bone Al?)

Why am I introducing you to my Posse?

Because I want you to see how much fun we have out here during this A to Z Challenge. (and all year long too)

You are getting an exclusive, highly coveted, private invitation to see how we party. (Mum’s the word, and if you speak German, Muttie’s das wort, but whatever language you speak keep what you read to yourselves, we don’t want my our blogs overrun with party crashers.)

Now, sit back… and enjoy some really COOL STUFF.

ENLARGE BY CLICKING ON THE FIRST AND HAVE A LAUGH.
Or, you can just zoom in on them.

See, even Julie, from Empty Nest Insider, got in on the action.

To know what we're all laughing about you need to drop in on Mr. Bones.

We all have fun out here, bantering, kidding, laughing and enjoying ourselves.

That's what blogging is all about.

Pat, over at It’s Rhyme Time, hits the hammer on the nail with his B post, how many blogs are all about “buy this and buy that”, and how the good old blogging days are all but gone.

Well, I say let’s not let that happen.

The way YOU do that is by feeding your own blog. Give it love, let those that visit regularly know you care about them. Follow them, comment on their blogs and see who they are following.

Chances are if you like a blogger, and what they blog about, you might like some of the blogs they have on their Blogs of Note list. (I really do follow awesome blogs.)

It’s up to each of us to grow our blogs and nurture our readership. And, that takes time.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your visit today, and your behind the scene exclusive invitation.

Now… get out there and mingle.

My Posse is always around… and if you see them in my comments area stop and say Hi… we love a good party.

Lucky came to the party because she loves COOL STUFF too.

So what COOL STUFF is happening on your Blog?

Cheers, Jenny

PS - A special shout out to Arlee Bird, from Tossing It Out. He’s the Founder and Creator of the  April Blogging from A to Z Challenge, As well as being a blogging friend, he is a great motivator and an inspiring leader. Thanks Lee - you rock!

  1. This was hilarious, Jenny! I really got a kick out of your conversation over at Al's place! Now I feel badly that he was working the lateshift. Oh well, hopefully all will be forgiven with tomorrow's haiku! Thanks so much for the shout-out, and for including me in all the fun!

    1. I had to take the work, even though it's rather mundane and did I mention toilet cleaning?
Hey, it was all good though. Just me, my thoughts, and a mop.

    2. I loved that you crashed the party over at Al's - then fun that comes from spontaneity is what keeps me out here.

And Al is such a hoot.
I'm glad he doesn't give us the boot.
      From hanging round his pad
Ain't he just a grand lad!

hahahaha - see, Pat's rubbing off on me!

Al: nothing mundane about toilet duty. After dropping my phone in one trust me I'm thankful mine is so clean I could make soup in it. Take that bone and run with it. LOL hahahahaha

  2. So you're blogging AND drinking wine AND having ice cream?
What type of mad, crazy world do you live in JP?
    Can I get directions?
Blogging wouldn't be so much fun without you and the rest of the posse. (gotta be careful how I spell posse, Al might think I'm talking about him again.

Al: You sure it's not pussé - here kitty, kitty, kitty… meow! LOL

Well now, THAT was uncalled for, Mr. Penwasser.

As far as my other thing? Let's not speak of it.

    1. Al, did I ever tell you that I am married to a man that descends from royalty in Ireland?

      Delete
    2. Al: I'm a huge fan of QE, if it wasn't for her shares in Crazy Glue, that whole royal family would have fallen apart years ago. As it is, there's a few serious chunks (the Prince and his Pea) that are immune to the glue.

Ruth: well, why didn't I know about this… You'd have been Dame Ruth for sure, a notable elevation from Lady B. LOL Na, I like Lady B best… totally bitchin'. Wouldn't have you any other way.

    3. Irish royalty? That's really cool. I'm descended from Mal Penwasser. A notorious malcontent with halitosis and the social graces of Fred Flintstone.

      Delete
    4. And here I thought you were a direct descendant from Alp Water… you know, that guy that worked for Heidi's grandfather. If I'm not mistaken he was quite notorious himself… something about goats, swiss alps, babbling brooks… it's a little vague now.

  4. Al will forever have Mr. Bones attached to him now. Maybe he'll go down in history for classifying officially the 207th bone. Didn't even need an x-ray lol

Yep, have to nurture and grow if you want a good blog show.

    1. At least I hope he didn't need an x-ray

    2. We gotta love our Mr. Bones… Can you even x-ray that bone! LOL

Hey, Al…. can you? Inquiring (and nosy) minds want to know.

And you're so right Pat - without the 'nurture' bit there are no flowers in the great gardens of Bloggerville.

Though I mentioned, up there, that had I known of the royal blood coursing through you surely the title of Dame Ruth would have crossed my mind.

      I'm a huge fan of the Dames….

    1. Thanks Anne Marie… and pal…

I see two of you there, come on in, take your hats off and stay a while.

We love it when folks drop in when one of these spontaneous, and often raunchy, (in a really good way) parties springs up. (like oil from the ground)

Like the Clampetts (you might be too young for this show - google "beverly hillbillies) you'll never know there's oil in the ground if you don't go digging around)

What would life have been like without Jane Hathaway pining away for that stud muffin Jethro. Ahhh… those were the days my friend… I'm breaking into song now!

  7. That is so true about it is up to us to grow our blogs. I have someone who comments on my blog that I also email daily in an encouragement type group. She is always commenting about how many comments I get and how many followers I have, etc., but she doesn't realize how much time (too much LOL) that I spend blogging and the commitment I make with it. You are so right too, Pat had a great B for blog one yesterday. Lots of truth in his rhyme. I like your posse, I follow some of them, but not all; will check the other ones out.

    1. Hi Betty, thanks for stopping in and getting to know my posse. As you said, you know a couple - well, now you know them all.

In fact, this is the trunk of my posse tree. I'm so lucky to have so many wonderful (count yourself in here) blogging pals that drop in and carryon a little dialogue - just like you do over at your place.

It can lead to some really wonderful blogging friendships. In that department I'm truly blessed. You hit on a solid point - it takes time. Without that investment one can't expect this sort of thing.

Pat hit it on the nail with his rhyme - lately many of the new blogs are all about self promotion… buy, buy, buy. How about good-bye! :) :)

Thanks for stopping in… don't forget to drop in on my posse, tell them Jenny sent you. (although that might not be the ticket) hahahahaha

  8. Hey… looks like another party is underway… I just woke up, man, all these late nights are cutting into my beauty sleep.

Like Betty says - blogging takes time.

Now, if only I was on speaking terms with Father Time things might be different!

    1. Hi Heidi - welcome to Pearson Report.

I had to throw in the Muttie bit for my posse pals. We giggle a lot about my Austrian heritage. Wait until the letter V… for sure there'll be a party then.

Thanks for stopping by - take a look around… mix and mingle. We're a friendly bunch. :) :)

The exchange with Al was funny. Then again, anything he says is funny.

    1. Your the king of mingling! I think I learned it from you. :)

Those of us that are fortunate to have a solid core, which like Betty mentioned takes time to develop, know how important it is to mingle (aka leave a comment). What goes around comes around.

Al… well, he's comedy central out here. My go to buddy for laughs.

Thanks Alex, for stopping in and sitting a spell. We know it's a good party when you show up! (you've got celebrity status, hehehehe, even though I'm the Queen)

Thanks Susie, for joining the party. Always a treat to see you. :) :)

    1. Sometimes I just crack up with the exchanges between the four of us, Birgit. For this post, in light of my ones on Following and Commenting, I wanted to highlight what it's like when we invest time in developing these blogging friendships.

I count you as one those, Birgit - you've been so supportive over her at Pearson Report - thank you, most sincerely.

Now, relax and let me top up your glass. :) :) Al should be along any moment with the appys… Enjoy!

    3. Man, I think I need to assign appy detail to Lady B - she's got cakes today, even though she prefers pies.

Peas… can o' peas… ohhh… you mean canapés… ahhh…(dim lightbulb goes off) okay, you can still do the job. But when the can is empty we recycle, no hiding it behind the sofa.

    4. I like peas! Love the colour and if one laughs while having peas in ones' mouth, it may go up your nose and shoot out on to someone's plate(happened to my hubby when he was a kid). Never had Canopes-At least I don't think so...maybe in another life. Thank you by the way:)

  14. Sounds like you and your posse know how to have fun! People get all undone about people who don't reply to every comment--so I switched to focusing on replying to comments. But during this A to Z Challenge it's just too much...so I'm doing my best with replying to comments but focusing most of my efforts on reading the blogs of those who comment. THAT's where the real support is.

    1. I'm with you on this one. During the Challenge I do like to visit those that have dropped in and taken the time to say hi.

As an Ambassador I also have an assigned group of bloggers, so with that and trying to touch base with the comments her it can be a lot.

My goal it to touch base every couple of days… it's the best I can do what with only 24 hours in the day… geez, who thought of that number! :) :)

Thanks for stopping by Stephanie - much appreciated. Enjoy the A to Z. :)

  15. Hi Jenny - I really think it's about time you were in touch and on good terms with Father Time - so our lives could be flexible in their timely reach! Sounds like you're having fun with your posse - I miss Tina so much for that bantering back and forth time ..

The Challenge can be a challenge and it's working out a happy medium for all things - commenting and replying to comments ... I must get over to Steph ..

    Cheers Hilary

    1. Hi Hilary, I'm sorry for the loss you feel with Tina. She was something special. I remember working with her on the 2012 Challenge, as Co-Host, she always had time for encouraging words. She is sorely missed.

Yes, this Challenge can be just that - challenging. But, we love it, right!

Have fun out there… I'll be by shortly to check our your day's offering.

  18. Hi Jenny, Thanks for trying to help. Finally found a band-aid solution to commenting here. The problem lies with the Google / Blogger connection. It only lets me comment from my defunct blogspot blog so I gave up, changed my id name and hopefully when people go to the blogger post they will see the redirect link to my 2015 AtoZChallenge Amazon River Jungle Cruise Adventure in Peru at http://www.reviewfromthehouse.com/review-from-cabin
